Securitas Alarm is one of Turkey's leading electronic security companies, providing alarm systems, camera systems, and 24/7 monitoring services to homes and businesses across all 81 provinces. The platform serves over 86,000 active customers and is built to handle more than 1 million users.

Customers interact with Securitas Alarm through two digital touchpoints: a mobile app and a web portal. Both existed as separate, independently built products running on different technology stacks.

The Challenge

The mobile app had been built natively, with separate iOS and Android codebases maintained by separate developers. Every new feature had to be built twice. Every bug had to be fixed twice. Every release had to be coordinated across two different build processes. The cost and complexity of maintaining two native codebases was growing faster than the product.

The web portal needed to be modernized alongside the mobile rebuild, bringing both customer-facing products onto a coherent, maintainable foundation.

What We Built

We rebuilt both products over five months.

For the mobile app, we migrated from two separate native codebases to a single React Native application covering both iOS and Android. The app gives Securitas Alarm customers control over their security systems from their phone: arming and disarming alarms, monitoring live camera feeds, receiving instant alerts for intrusion, fire, gas leak, flood, medical, and panic events, and requesting technical service. A single codebase now serves both platforms, maintained by one developer instead of two.

For the web portal, we built the customer account management platform in Next.js. Customers use it to manage their subscriptions, view service history, request technical support, and handle billing. Server-side rendering kept page load times fast across different connection speeds and devices.

Both products share a consistent design language and were delivered within the same five-month engagement.

The Outcome

Securitas Alarm went from maintaining two separate native mobile codebases to a single React Native codebase covering both platforms. The engineering overhead of shipping mobile updates dropped significantly. One developer now does the work that previously required two.

The web portal gave customers a modern, fast account management experience to match the rebuilt mobile app.

Both products now serve Securitas Alarm's 86,000-plus active customers across Turkey.
